Alana Post offers a reading of my story “Building the Perfect Lolcat” in a recent edition of her excellent podcast. (Which doesn’t have a title, but in my head and in my iTunes is known as “The Alana Postcast.”)

I would describe her reading as a heart-felt oral interpretation. Even the casual listener will be able to tell that she spent time beforehand thinking about the character’s motivations, perhaps by writing out longhand a small, imagined biography. Most podcasts nowadays eschew the sort of craft that once made the art form great.
